THE SCRIPTURES

We believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of the Holy Bible. The sixty-six books comprising the Old and New Testament canon were inerrant and infallible in the original writings, preserved for every generation, and thus constitute the believer’s final authority for faith and practice. We use the Authorized Version of the Bible in all of our ministries.. (II Timothy 3:16-17, II Peter 1:20-21)

THE TRUE GOD

We believe in the existence of one true and living God. We also believe in the doctrine of the Trinity, that is, within the unity of the Godhead there exists three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit who in essence are co-equal and co-eternal yet exercise, distinct, though harmonious, works. (Deuteronomy 6:4, I John 5:6-12)

GOD THE FATHER

We believe in God the Father. God is an infinite and perfect Spirit who is the source and support of all things. (Genesis 17:1, Psalm 139:7-11, John 4:24, Acts 15:18, Ephesians 1:11)

GOD THE SON

We believe in Jesus Christ. He was and is the Eternal Son of God, possessing both absolute deity and perfect humanity. He was born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, and gave His life on the cross as a sufficient sacrifice for the sins of the whole world. He arose bodily from the grave, ascended back into heaven and is today acting as the believer’s advocate and Great High Priest. (John 1:1-15a, John 9:6, Hebrews 4:15, I Timothy 2:6, Luke 24:39, I John 2:1)

GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe in the Holy Spirit. He is equal in essence to the Father and Son. He convicts of sin and is the agent of the new birth. One clear evidence of the fullness of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer is boldness to witness for our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:19, John 3:5, 16:8; I Corinthians 12:13, 6:19, 12:7; Ephesians 4:30, 5:18)

SALVATION

We believe, “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” We believe that all who trust Jesus Christ for salvation are eternally saved and shall not perish. We believe eternal life is a present possession. (II Peter 3:9, Ephesians 1:7, 2:8-9; Romans 10:9-10, 13; John 3:16, 36, 10:27-31; Ephesians 4:30, I John 5:13)

THE CHURCH

We believe that the Church is a local assembly of baptized believers voluntarily joined together to advance the work of Christ. Christ is the Head of the Church and the Word of God is to be its source of authority. Local churches are to be led by men serving in the Biblical office of Pastor. The Church is to observe two ordinances: Baptism and the Lord’s Supper; both of which are pictures of what Christ did for us and have no part in salvation. Scriptural Baptism is by immersion. The Lord’s Supper is for saved members of the local church. (Matthew 16:18, 28:18-20; Acts 1:5, 2:41-47, 8:36-38; I Corinthians 11:17-34, Galatians 1:2, Colossians 1:18, I Timothy 3:2-8)

CREATION

We believe the universe as well as mankind is a result of the direct creative act of God. We believe in the Biblical account of creation. We reject all forms of evolution whether theistic or naturalistic. (Genesis 1:1-27, Colossians 1:16)

MARRIAGE

We believe marriage was instituted by God to be a lifelong union between one natural born man and one natural born woman and therefore we are opposed to any other definition of marriage. Although divorced and remarried persons or divorced persons may actively serve in the local church at the discretion of the Pastor, they may not be considered for the offices of pastor or deacon. (Genesis 1:27, 2:18-25, Romans 7:1-3, I Timothy 3:2, 12; Titus 1:6)

HUMAN SEXUALITY

We believe that God creates a gender and identifies that gender as male or female at an individual’s conception. Thus, we believe every person is born with the gender God intended them to be and remain for life. Also, we believe God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity should be engaged in outside of a marriage between one natural born man and one natural born woman. We believe any form of homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, trans-sexuality, bestiality, incest, fornication, adultery and pornography are sinful perversions of God’s gift of human life and sex. (Genesis 2:24, 19:5-13, 26:8-9; Leviticus 18:1-30, Romans 1:18-32, I Corinthians 5:6-9, I Thessalonians 4:1-8, Hebrews 13:4)

ABORTION

We believe that human life begins at conception and that the unborn child is a living human being. Abortion constitutes the unjustified, unexcused taking of unborn human life. Abortion is murder. We reject any teaching that abortions due to rape, incest, birth defects, gender selection, birth control or population control, or the well-being of the mother are acceptable. (Job 3:16, Psalm 51:5, 139:14-16; Isaiah 44:24, 49:1-5; Luke 1:44)

THE GRACE OF GIVING

We believe that Scriptural giving is one of the fundamentals of the faith, and that it is a Christian’s privilege and duty. We believe that God’s method of financing His earthly work of spreading the Gospel to all nations, the care of the churches and the support of the ministry, is by the tithes and offerings of God’s people. We believe that they are to be given to the Lord through His local church. We believe that Christians should give a minimum of one tenth of their income and that offerings are to be given above the tithe as God has prospered the individual. (Malachi 3:8-10, I Corinthians 8-9, I Corinthians 16:2)

END TIMES

We believe in the pre-tribulation, pre-millennial, and imminent return of Jesus Christ for all believers. (John 14:3, I Thessalonians 4:16-17, Revelation 3:10, 4:1)
